Zwift Cog Replacement Lock Ring

The Zwift Cog is secured to a trainer’s freehub using a purpose-designed nylon lock ring. This lock ring is essential to ensure correct fitment and to prevent damage to the cog.

Standard metal cassette lock rings must not be used. Metal lock rings apply far more clamping force than the Zwift Cog is designed to handle and wear plastic surfaces down, which can cause premature wear and invalidates the manufacturer’s warranty.

Important Installation Notes

The Zwift Cog is not a traditional cassette. Using the correct plastic lock ring and tightening it correctly ensures:

• Long-term durability of the Zwift Cog
• Continued warranty coverage

The nylon Zwift Cog lock ring should be hand-tightened only. Maximum torque: 5 Nm

Metal cassette lock rings are typically tightened to around 40 Nm, but even when tightened to 5Nm may cause damage to your Zwift Cog.
